India-China border row:India and China issued a joint statement after “frank and in-depth” fresh round of high-level military talks held on December 20. According to a joint statement issued on Thursday, the focus of the talks was on resolving the remaining issues in eastern Ladakh.
The statement said that the current round of talks was in line with the guidance provided by the leaders of the two countries to work for the resolution of the remaining issues at the earliest.
Reading from the statement at the briefing, Arindam Bagchi, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, said, “The 17th round of India-China Corps Commander level meeting was held at Chushul-Moldo border meeting point on the Chinese side on December 20”.
