Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is set to enter the competitive 4G market with the launch of its commercial services.

Ahead of this, the state-owned telecommunications provider has introduced a fresh new logo reflecting its core goals: providing services that are secure, affordable, and reliable.

New Services Unveiled at New Delhi Event

In addition to the logo, BSNL launched seven innovative services at an event held at its headquarters in New Delhi.

The event was attended by Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia, Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, and Neeraj Mittal, Secretary of the Department of Telecommunications.

These services include a robust spam protection feature that automatically filters out malicious SMS and phishing attempts.

BSNL also rolled out a new national Wi-Fi roaming service, offering Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH) consumers access to BSNL hotspots, lowering their data costs while maintaining high-speed internet.

Advanced TV and D2D Services

BSNL is expanding its presence in the entertainment space with the introduction of a fibre-based intranet TV service, offering over 500 live channels.

The service also includes a Pay TV feature, ensuring that data used for streaming will not be deducted from users’ FTTH data packs.

The company has also launched a Direct-to-Device (D2D) service that integrates satellite and mobile networks, helping users in isolated regions and enabling UPI payments during emergencies.

Innovative SIM Solutions and Emergency Connectivity

With its new Any Time SIM (ATM) kiosks, BSNL is simplifying the process of purchasing and upgrading SIM cards.

It has also introduced an encrypted communications platform to assist government and relief agencies in disaster-struck areas, leveraging balloon and drone-based systems for emergency connectivity.
