An explosion early Sunday outside the military airport in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, caused multiple casualties.
According to Interior Ministry spokesman Abdul Nafi Takor left several people dead and wounded. The Taliban sources said that an investigation was under way.
The Nature or target of the explosion was identified yet.
The eyewitness said a loud explosion was heard before 8am (03:30 GMT) near the military side of the heavily fortified airport.
According to the interior ministry the cause of the blast at the gate of the facility next to Kabul’s international airport was unclear.
The Taliban authorities claim to have improved security since storming back to power in August 2021 but there have been scores of bomb blasts and attacks, many claimed by the local chapter of the Islamic State group.
