Apple’s next affordable iPhone model is set for early 2025 release.
The iPhone SE 4, Apple’s upcoming successor to the iPhone SE (2022), is expected to launch in early 2025. Leaks from a tipster have provided insights into what could be Apple’s next budget-friendly handset, offering several improvements over its predecessor.
The phone is expected to sport a 6.06-inch OLED display and run on the same A18 chip that powers the iPhone 16 models. Moreover, this could mark Apple’s first use of its in-house modem technology.
Leaked Specifications Point to Significant Upgrades
According to leaked details, the iPhone SE 4 will feature a 6.06-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1,170×2,532 pixels and peak brightness of 800 nits.
The display will use Samsung’s M11 OLED materials, similar to those used in the iPhone 14. The phone will also feature a display notch, unlike the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 series, which have Dynamic Island technology.
It is rumored that Apple will remove the home button from the SE series and integrate Face ID for the first time in this model.
Performance and Camera Enhancements
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to be powered by Apple’s A18 chip, which is manufactured using TSMC’s latest N3E process.
The device is rumored to include 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 48-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX904 sensor.
The front-facing camera is said to feature a 12-megapixel TrueDepth sensor, making it a notable upgrade for selfie enthusiasts.
Launch Date and Pricing Leaked
The iPhone SE 4 is expected to launch by March 2025, with pricing expected to range between $499 and $549.
This makes it a compelling option for users looking for an affordable iPhone experience, especially with its higher storage capacity compared to the previous SE models.
